I refined the shading in the face, and added more contrast in the hair. I still see problems with it that I have to fix, so there will definitely be a Meg IV. I will probably also add a background.
Now I truly understand why it is bad to touch your drawings... the oils in my fingers are making it impossible to shade cleanly.
and never before have I spent so much time on a single drawing.

This is a great pencil drawing. I always run into that problem too with shading with my fingers. Then I discovered smudges sticks and my world completely changed As for a background, I actually really like the negative white space. It adds a great sort of contrast to the pic
