pencil portrait of ~JaxPlayThing

I refined the shading in the face, and added more contrast in the hair. I still see problems with it that I have to fix, so there will definitely be a Meg IV. I will probably also add a background.

Now I truly understand why it is bad to touch your drawings... the oils in my fingers are making it impossible to shade cleanly.

and never before have I spent so much time on a single drawing.

I can post the original picture for you, if you want a comparison up.

Also, you make my life complete. Just to let you know.

This is a great pencil drawing. I always run into that problem too with shading with my fingers. Then I discovered smudges sticks and my world completely changed :) As for a background, I actually really like the negative white space. It adds a great sort of contrast to the pic :aww:

This is absolutely amazing. It's got a beautiful, original quality to the shading work. You've blown my mind, dude. Lovely work.

Nice Work!
The only thing that bothers me is that the outlines are to strong... In real life there are no outlines there are just differences in values. But still AWESOME work.

yes, it did come out kind of stylized. (notice how I turned the negativeness of the outlines into something positive... :))
